300 WM powder choices for the heavies

I just purchased a custom built rifle chambered in 300 WM the barrel is a Lilja 3 grove 31" long 1-10 twist. I'm going to be shooting the 210-230 grn bullets in the rifle and looking for advice on powders to choose from? I have some RL-22 at the house I'll try but what do you guys recommend for this cartridge and bullet weights?

I use h1000 with the 230's sub 1/2 moa

I use retumbo with 210's again very good load pm withyou would like details

The 300WM I have now has the identical barrel, but mines a Stainless Hart. I have a new bottle of RL22, but I haven't worked anything up for it. What I HAVE used is 200 grain Spitzer, 62.0 grains of IMR 4350. But the best heavy load I have is for 220 grain, 49.0 grains of IMR 4320 at about 220 fps

I've got some 190s I want to work a load for. But I've been too sick for a while. Maybe in the fall. I'll have to toughen up my shoulder. I'm getting to be a wuss in my old age. Even with a Vias brake after 5 or 10 shots I'm ready to clean up and put it in the case.

IMR 7828 seems pretty popular.

I use IMR 4831 in my 26" barrel try it with your longer barrel 7828 may work great 4350 may burn a little fast .

I shoot Sierra 240s in 300 WM. I use Winchester Military brass, Federal 215m primers, and IMR 7828, 68.0 grains. I have a 26-inch Bartlein 1:9 barrel with another one on the way. It has a Harrell brake. In perfect conditions, the gun will shoot a little over 1/2 MOA at 1,000 (see attached). That bullet goes subsonic around 1,400 yards - I don't have a range where I can try that.

IMR 7828 seems pretty popular.

I have a few lbs of that as well. I do remember using it years ago in another 300WM I had with the 180 grn bullets.

For 175-190 SMK's (or similar Hornady) I use H4831sc
For 210SMK, 208 Amax, 215 Bergers I use H1000
For 230 Bergers and 225 Hornadys I use Retumbo.

The Retumbo is a little slow for things under 220 SMK IMO.

With a 27" pipe I get 208's going 3025fps from a heavy dose of H1000 and nearly the same speed from the 215 Berger.
