300 WSSM

[Idaho Custom Rifles]

I just finished a 700rem. in 300wssm from a 25wssm case and was I surprised 208 Amax at 2700 fps. I may have something fun to work with. once the barrel is fully broke in and I Fire form more cases we will see what it will do. right now it is .625 for five shots at a 100yd and I still have to make dies. Something to play with anyway.

300WSSM? Never heard of that one, can it outperform my 300WSM?

You can probably do more than 2700, do a little search here on the hide and you'll see people have actually achieved 2900 fps with the 208 AMAX.

My 300 wm only did 2700 with a full case of 2217 (h1000)

Pics and updates. This may be the answer for my PoS winnie Mod 70. This got me thinking about a 6.5 wssm with all of the good bullets available in this caliber.

That is why I build a 30-06...... I get the SAME velocity as that (well 2750 more like it).....
The 300wssm..... Kinda different......

Am i missing something here? The 300wsm is the parent case of the 25wssm, so by necking up the 25wssm to 30 you've invented the parent case again??? What???
