What kind of real world accuracy can I expect from a 300BLK in an AR?? Not interested in the group the you shot in a "Bug Hole" but what you get for accuracy day in an day out. Like an average of 5 5 shot groups at 100 and 200 yds maybe even 300. Thanks Guys!!!

Ya, good luck. Unless you have magnification and a 16" barrel, why bother with 100, 200, 300. I have my 300 blackout(8.5" barrel pistol) zeroed at 50 yards with a red dot and if you get 3" group, your on fire. I don't know who is shooting 300 blackout prone? Then again guys like Travis Hailey say they are shooting out to 700+ yards with them. So the possibility exists?

I get enough accuracy for deer hunting, but it isn't a tack driver by any means.
I think of mine as a more efficient 30-30 that can be used in an AR platform, one that is optimized for suppressed use.

This is kind of what I have been hearing. I was thinking of building one to have something with more knockdown than a .223 with the 77gr bullets.More of a "When things go to hell" gun maybe using the 110 to 125gr bullets. From what I can gather if it will shoot an Inch at 100 and 2"s at 200 it is a good gun.

1 Moa for 110s and 125s occasionally less.
220s and 225s .5moa with bugholes once in while.
this is with my 8" barrel. My 16" would put 110s in .5 and subs in 3"s. all at 100 yards.

Well you'll be pleased as my more accurate 8" barrel
is a ballistic advantage also.
20 grains of lilgun or win 296 under a 110 Barnes blacktip crimped at the groove.
19 grains of lilgun under Nosler 125s
8.2 g lilgun under 225 hornadys
7.9 g of AA#9
10.8 of 1680
9 g of win 296
here is the key 2.170 oal for 225s or 2.090 for 220smks
nice and short keeps the combustion consistent and the groups small.

I saw a post a while back where username padom posted a picture of a 5x7 shot at 100 yards that average under .5 for all 7 groups. He had a good write up about everything. This was done from a short barrel I believe it was a 8.5 Rainer ultra match but I could be mistaken. I have a 10.5 radical arms barrel that consistently shoots .75 at 100 yards with 110 grain Barnes black tips. Given the range limitations of this round, and what I use it for (night time hunting) I did almost no load development for this rifle and could probably shrink those group sizes some if I had.

For those of you shooting to 100 yards and longer, what scope are you using? I know that there are 300 BO specific scopes, but I usually avoid caliber specific scopes. I have a meprolight on my 300 and think of it more as a home defense weapon and fun range toy suppressed at distances under 100 yards. With that setup, I am happy with 2 MOA accuracy - I suspect that I could improve greatly on accuracy with a scope better suited to bug hole type firing. I don't consider my 300 my go to accuracy level gun. Maybe I need to change my attitude about that!

I use mine mainly for hog hunting at night as a back up, my dedicated rig is a 6.8 and runs a thermal. The 300 has a ATN gen 2 X sight which is what the 100 accuracy test was done with. Most shots are with in 50 yards but sometimes have been farther. It was mostly luck I'll admit that but a good friend of mines wife dropped a 225 lb boar in his tracks at 175 yards with the 300 so it's a very capable round loaded with he right ammo. I think the black tip Barnes are hands down the best bullet choice for hunting with a 300 at super sonic velocities, at subsonic speeds Leigh high defense makes some good stuff for hunting so long as the shots are with in 75 yards

I got mine put together and took it out and shot it with both Lil Gun and H110. I used 110VMAX for my bullet and was able to get groups under an Inch at 100yds with both powders. I shot it at 200 and 300yds and it shot a 2.2" group at 200 with 4 of them in a 1.5" group. My 300yd group was 2.75"s with 4 in 2"s so I was pretty happy with that. I do believe the H110 shoots a tad tighter and more consistent. Thanks for the all the info guys!! Really appreciate it!!!
