I want to hunt with subsonic ammo suppressed and found that LeHigh makes a 200gr round called max expansion. The videos I've seen on it make it seem perfect for hunting. Does anyone have any insight on this or know where I can buy this ammo? I can't find it anywhere online or in stores.

The Lehigh 194 gr Max Expansions are ridiculous. They will blow shit up though, so hopefully you're hog hunting. I've had excellent results putting down piggys with the 150 gr Lehigh CF projos with a little sumpin sumpin inside (20 gr Hornady V-Max) giving you 170 gr fracturing projo. They'll throw 8 petals into anything you hit at subsonic velocities...

Has anyone had any luck luck getting the Lehigh's to feed from a magazine? I sold some organs an bought a bunch of 174gr CF (not the ME's) and they jam up in the mag if you put more than about 4 in there. I think the ogive is too wide and is binding up on the sides of the mag. Seems to happen in both gen 2 & 3 pmags.

Are ya'll seeing the same thing with the ME's?

Haha! I know it man, those projos are expensive!

I had issues with the 170s in PMags as well. their wider design allowing you to throw in that extra payload doesn't work well with the guides on the side of the PMags. I've had decent luck with Lancers though, but just barely. Dave out at Lehigh suggested their design to be geared more to the bolt action rather than SA.

On the other hand, the 194s feed very well in PMags. The ogive is much more conducive to semi's and their 1.5"+ in length rather than the 1.2"ish CF. I get great accuracy with the ME also.

While it's nice to be able to shoot a projo with a .638 G1 and fantastic terminal performance out of a little 300 BLK, I'm definitely going to have to get a paper route or something on top of the day job to afford them at $77 for 50 boolits!

I'll be hunting deer, but we do have some really big deer here so they might not be over kill. Idk.

Just a side note-For fun we shot the 194's out to 380 yds. They are very accurate as long as you have a definitive range. Not sure I would try it in a hunting situation except maybe on pigs. Thing is, the energy doesnt bleed off much because of tbe bc, so you dont lose much even at great distance.
