Range Report .308 168gr Federal Match ballistics drop chart

Hey guys,

I'm new to long range shooting, and just picked up a 700 .308 sps tactical and will be shooting the Federal premium 168gr Match load. I was wondering if anyone had a ballistic/drop chart out to around 1000yds or so. Just wanted to have some info on hand when i get around to stretching this thing out, and to verify my findings..

First of all, welcome to the 'Hide, and welcome to the sport of long range shooting! I use the online program at http://www.jbmballistics.com. Put in the 168 Sierra Match King bullet from the drop down menu, use 2600 as your velocity, and set your scope height. (I use 1.5" for my bolt guns). It might not get you dead on, but it will be pretty close. Start at 100 yards and then work out from there. Best of luck!
