308 gas piston conversions?

Does anybody make a good piston conversion for DPMS 308's?

Is it worth it? My rifle functions fine but I've read so much about the gas pistom system being so much cleaner and more reliable.

Not yet is the short answer...there are other threads on this same issue from over the last month or so. They definitely run a lot cleaner than your standard DI guns. You don't NEED a piston system unless you are shooting suppressed and having issues with fouling/poor operation/etc.

Keep track of Adams Arms progress...they are working on an AR-10/LR-308 piston conversion now.
