How well will this work? I'm in the process of ordering a Sako brake for my TRG-42 in 338LM and am curious if it will be equally effective on my T3 Tac in 308w aswell so I can just switch between the rifles, instead of ordering one more in 308w for the T3 Tac. Also, is there even a difference between the Sako brakes for 338LM and 308w or are they identical parts?

No first hand experience but my feeling is they are different. Brakes are usually sized for the bore/bullet diameter. That being said, the .338 brake would have a bigger opening and probably not be as affective at stripping off the gasses so less effective on the .308.
