is it possible to build a 33xc on a Mausingfield Action or should I just go with a Titan

Personally I would go titan bat or borden. Then there's the pierce 10x action. I think bigger the better. I've been thinking about adding a 33xc barrel to my bat igniter lapua action

I've heard to many times of them hitting pressure early with 1.0625 tennon. I'd go for something with a 1.250 thread.

Are you planning on shooting it in light class? if not I'd just go straight to a 375 CT

Many people do build them on Lapua bolt face long actions, but I'd rather a bigger tenon, so I'm using a BAT CT 1.47"
Do you already have a Mausingfield long action? Looks like ARC no longer sells the long action.

Is a 9.5x77 on your list of wants? That might be a reason to go with the Titan.

I do have a Mausingfield that my 300 Norma is built on. I guess I agree with going with a different action, larger tenon.

If you’ve got the action already I’d say just do it. If your set on that cartridge and gonna build it anyway All it costs is the barrel which is cheap in the scheme of things.

It'll work on a Mausingfield, but you'll likely leave some performance on the table. Run the numbers through a ballistic calculator to see if you're ok with a 100-200fps velocity loss. David Tubb's write up on the 33XC shows the 285s@3200fps and 250s@3320-3380fps from a 28" bbl. I've seen 285s@3100fps and 250s@3200fps from a 30" bbl on a MF action.
