Rifle Scopes 35mm rings questions

ok guys I have been reading here and over at another forum for a while now i have lots more questions then answers
ok I got a millett lrs-1 got it in last week, mounted it and hated the ring height so I started my ring search and holy cow $130 for a set of cheap rings

thats just more then I want to spend at this point especially after just buying the scope

so first off are there other sets of rings in 35mm out there that would work that I am just missing?

I will sell the millett rings to buy new ones but what are they worth and is there even a demand for them?

if I have to buy 35mm rings what rings should I buy because honestly if there is a few dollars difference in rings then I would rather get better rings for a few dollars more

and lastly (for now) what makes a set of rings better then another set of rings? to me they all look like a chunk af machined steel

thanks for any help guys I have had a blast reading here and although I have not had the opportunity to contribute yet I am hoping to as I learn more

Too many questions-

Only time for one answer that really matters. Seekins.

At least you'll have rings if dump the millet and pick up an IOR or Razor.

Seekins is the way to go if you are looking for affordable 35mm rings. Yuor options are very limited when in this diameter. US Optics rings sure are nice though!!!

I use the lowest 35mm Seekins rings has available and I like them alot. They are the made with the same quality as Badger or USO...except less expensive.

TPS makes really good rings as well, and they are a little cheaper than Seekins. I have had both in 35mm. I like the sleekness of the Seekins, but the TPS work very good to.

USO makes great 35mm rings. They have a windage adjustment feature which is very nice. Mr. Seekins' rings are top quality also.
