Good day, I want to chamber a barrel in 375-33 nosler and want to know if I'd be better off necking up 33 nosler brass or pushing the shoulder back on 375 rum brass? I have a rem 700 long action that was a 338 win mag and my max mag length is 3.62. I will be shooting Lehigh 330 gr. Match.
Either way I'd still like to know how to push the shoulder back that far on 375 rum brass. I'd appreciate the help.

Why not make life easy and go .375 Ruger?

At any rate, either way should work. Necking up from .33 nosler will give you a slightly thinner neck than what you start with at .33. Sizing down .375 RUM is going to be harder, and will get you into thicker case material and may require neck turning. I'd anneal both of them after sizing, maybe after the 1st firing but you might get some splits.

I've expanded .22 cal up to .338 before in 1 die so I don't think you'll have any problem going .338 to .375 in 1 step.

Thank you very much. I was thinking about 375 ruger but thought the nosler case being .550 might get me a little extra performance.

You will need a set of 3 form dies. The Hornady custom shop can make them for you. The last ones I bought was a few years ago and they charged me about 100 dollars per die.

Jord, how did your progress go with your 375-33 Nosler? How did the brass process go and what kind of load data did you find? It’s seems like a very effective and efficient 375
