I have read alot of information regarding the Cheytac and barrel specs. I am waiting on my XLR Stock to drop in a Stillers TAC 408 action to chamber a .375 Cheytac. I already have the 5.5-22X Nightforce NXS scope.
I will be shooting 350 Jamison Solids and 350 Grain Sierra Match King projectiles. I plan to shoot 2000 yards.
I am leaning towards a 32 inch barrel with a screw-on muzzle brake. I see the barrel cut 6R with a 1-10 twist, .369 bore and .375 groove. I read to specs of the Lost River Bore from Lawton and from what I read from other shooters here, it is recommended to go with a different bore diameter because the Lost River bore is too tight and the twist is at a 11.5.
If someone here has an educated opinion or better yet, specific experiance with the caliber, I would certainly like to hear a recommendation for a specific barrel for this rifle.
I am open to any recommendations on the build. I WILL stay with the .408/.375 Cheytac caliber. Thanks for any information posted.
