Rifle Scopes 4-16 or 6-20 Viper PST?

I have done some searching but have mixed feelings. Is the glass any better or worse on either model.

I have seen where some reticles are off/canted and its throwing longer shots off.

Just don't have the money right now for a NF and was wanting a good scope with FFP and MOA reticle that I could use for work.
Is this scope tough enough for a trunk gun? Will take it to LEO Sniper School in the fall.

im extremely curious about glass quality as well. either way i think im giong with the pst but i would like to know which model is better. I want the 4-16 ffp because it will be placed on a hunting rifle but if the glass is that much better on the 6-24 then i might just have to go that way

First off, youre claims of doing some research are not holding up too well when you mislabel the scope as 6-20 in your title, unless of course you are speaking of a standard Viper model.

Also, please show the details of a person documenting long shots being "thrown off" by the "canted" reticle.

Also, if you say you did searching, you would also know that maybe 8 members on here have actually received their PST's, and that was maybe a week ago. No extended durability facts exist right now.

If you want a ton of scope for the $, you can be guaranteed you will not be let down if you order a PST. Whether or not you will need to use the best warranty in the business is still whats undecided on these scopes.

If you NEED something with dead, proven reliability right now I would suggest ponying up the extra cash for a NF. The PST line of optics WILL be a major player in this market, but that may take another year to happen, all new products take a little while to work bugs out.

This place feels like highschool with the rumor spreading abilities of you guys. One guy has reviewed both the 4-16 and 6-24 and said he felt the glass was better on the 6-24 and all of the sudden it is by Vortex' design that they are that way.

Im not saying it is or isnt, Im saying wait until at least, AT LEAST, two people say the same thing and substantiate their claims with some kind of documented research.

It will be a relief when mine finally arrives so I can stop going through this forum looking for updates on the PST's, its getting out of hand.

I hope somewhere in my rant I answered your questions, sorry to take out the frustration on you, but its late and Ive read too many of the same exact posts on these scopes that barely exist right now.

Thanks for the reply, but don't get your panties in a wad. I did not do all my searching just last night so I can't quote the articles/post I read word for word.

I was in fact looking at the standard 6-20 Viper and got it confused.

I understand the frustration so I'll leave it at that.

Everyone else just disregard my post, I'll search HARDER!

I can tell you after talking to Scott @ LO and Scott @ Vortex that if there *IS* a difference, it's NOT because Vortex intentionally put better or different glass in the 6-24. Same glass, same internal design with some nuances (focal length for one) that *might* favor one over the other.
