Hey guys. I decided to make a post that way I can get all opinions. I am having a small issue with my 40x. I have been talking to SDWhirlwind about it but I am not being clear or don't know what Im talking about.
I took some pictures to show him but figured everyone might benefit from this issue.
When closing the bolt empty or loading, the bolt feels like it is hanging on something. I have taken the feed ramp out and that seems to help some but not completely. The Bolt and Receiver have matching numbers. I have cleaned it really well and reassembled it. I Just took pictures of some of the parts/trouble spots. i didnt clean it again after i shot it so there is some White Grease on feed ramp. Im not sure if the Lugs are hanging up either. There are some wear spots and that is what i took a picture of. I also have a picture of where I feel the bolt starting to hang. Im not sure this is enough info and if you need more I can try to explain more or take more pictures with a camera and not my phone. What can I do to fix this. I will probably go see my Gun Smith in a few weeks if he can fit me in, but figured posting here wouldn't hurt. Maybe I am overlooking something simple. Its not a Huge deal either as it does not affect the way the gun shoots, I would just like a nice smooth bolt.
On to the pictures..
Thanks for all the help.
