40X in AICS finished, *update w/range report

Been gathering parts for the last several months.

CMP barreled action
Rock Creek barrel, 22" Remington Varmint
PT&G bolt

Had the action trued and chambered by Brian Voelker. He did quite a bit to the "drop in" bolt, re-ground the face, ground down the weld on the bolt handle-bolt would not close completely, reshaped the firing pin....

I spent some time fussing with the Timney trigger to get it to feel like the trigger on my comp rifle, got it fairly close. Have various ammo on the way to try out. Look forward to shooting it.

I recently put mine in an A5 stock, but it was fun in the AICS.

Shot at a indoor range yesterday. Best 5 shot group at 50yds, Eley Target. Going to be a great trainer! Need a better scope, it never ends!

I really like that. I was wondering how something like that would work. After reading the other thread I may have to build something up like that.
