I am debating between the Hybrid46 with its end cap brake or a fly45. Fly45 Pros is the weight and sound reduction from what I understand. the HYbrid46 is cheaper and (I am hoping) has less recoil with the brake but I am trying to confirm this before buying. Has anyone shot the Hybrid46 with the brake end cap with supers 45-70? does it really help reduce recoil? Are the supers still loud with the brake? Not concerned with subs for either suppressor. Thanks all!

I do have a hybrid 46 on my marlin 45-70, but I don't have the brake on the end.
What I can tell you is yes, with supers it is still loud. But it does mitigate recoil well.
Where it really shines is with sub sonics. It's a lot of fun shooting 400gr bullets at 1000fps with 223 level recoil and no hearing protection.

I still shoot supers, and while it's quieter than a bare muzzle, if I'm planning on shooting more than once I need ear pro.

I too run the Hybrid on my .45-70 Henry lever but, without the brake on the end. As mentioned, it's still loud but distinctly better than unsuppressed. Recoil is felt less, so I'm convinced it's an improvement.

My reasons for choosing the Hybrid were versatility. I use it on no less than ten other guns, ranging from 5.56 AR's, 9mm SP5, Uzi 9mm, 7.62 AR's and the .45-70. I've paid more for the pile of mounts and adaptors than the can was but, I've enjoyed the heck out of it.

I have run the hybrid 46 for my marlin 45-70 without the brake. In my experience (and as others noted above) it reduces the recoil and sound.

While the hybrid 46 is very versatile, it is kind of a pig. Currently have it on Stribog 45 while waiting for something else (Ecco Machine TLX) and I can feel the extra weight. I was looking at getting the Fly45 for the ‘bog, but discovered Ecco and they had them in stock. Since they are local-ish to me, went down there and shot the TLX 45 on a 1911 and was impressed. Probably not as quiet as the FLY 45, but not discernible to me. And it’s cheaper and lighter. I have a few other TBAC products and I generally lean toward them.

I have shot about 40 rounds through it. The longest string is 5 rds as capacity allows. The Fly45 is light and really nice. Very happy I got it. It’s a really good can

I’ll put lever guns in the bolt action family for choosing suppressors. I love flow through type cans for gas guns and non flow through for bolt/lever guns. The flow cans do a great job of reducing Chad in the face. Just not sure if there is such a can for a 458 socom. There probably is.

Yeah I got gadgets and gizmos that can help with the gas. Probably not as good a solution as flow through but hasn’t bothered me on any other guns. But the biggest selling point to me is the weight. All the other cans rated for 458 and around twice as heavy. And I’d like to move it to pistols everyonce and a while another pro in the weight column

I’d get it then. It’s light and way quiet for how light it is. Weight was a factor for me as well and I am not disappointed.
