45-70 subx subsonic

Have not taken deer with one yet, but have heard some good stuff about them. Interesting bullet for a nice sedate or trapdoor 4570 loading I bet.

Needing suppressed? Otherwise the 300g bullets are about as flat shooting as you can get in 4570 and really hammer deer.

No experience with the bullet in 45-70, but they are my #1 go to bullet in my .300 Black Out. The terminal performance has been very good at subsonic speeds on varmints, but I can't speak to performance on deer? They open/spread well, but I am not sure how much penetration you would get on a heavier animal like deer, versus on a coyote?

10% ordnance gel shot. They're silly fun in a suppressed rifle. Kinda reminds me of shooting an M203 😂

Yeah those look like winners to me haha. Is that expanded one a 45 cal?

If you decide to try something else, Wide flat nose cast will kill well too and help with the subsonic consistency if you run 500g plus to eat up that extra case volume.
