OK, picked up a bunch of 45 Super brass and wondered if anyone has run this througha Glok 21 before? I am looking for recoil spring set ups to handle the greater pressure ( 230s at 1100 fps)

Been spending some time in Bear Country and wnat more than standard 45 loads just in case. Thats California Bear Country so no big Grizlies to worry about

I run it through my Glock 21 all the time. Swapped over to a 22# spring and stainless guide rod. Recoil is pretty stout, maybe a hair more than hot 10mm loads I used to run in my Glock 20.

Shoot Buffalo Bore ammo only and it is my main sidearm in the Adirondacks. 255 gr hard cast loads were right at 1070fps...makes for a comfortable walk through the woods.

Not a single failure to fire or feed to date, brass has what I have found to be consistent with all Glocks which is .002 bulge towards the bottom of the case. Magazines are all pre-ban 13rds and cycle without a hitch as fast as I can pull the trigger.

Yep... get the heaviest recoil spring you can, which is 22 or 23#, and they run great. Given the choice however, I choose the Glock 20 in 10mm, with hard cast 200gr with 10gr IMR 800X @ 1300fps...

Might want to look at these conversion kits http://www.acecustom45s.com/gunsmith.htm bottom of the page for the Glock kits. When I got into converting a couple of my S&W's to 45 Super about 9 years back, I left the stock barrels in, but I read that the Glocks required an aftermarket barrel with more support in the web area to prevent the bulging cases. Worst case scenerio would be a completely ruptured case and a damaged gun and or injured shooter.
