Is anyone here using 4831SC in a creedmoor or a 260rem? I am trying it out and i am getting some excellent accuracy results with my 6.5creedmoor. The only down side i am having is my extreme velocity spread. Although it isnt bad (30fps) i would like for it to be a bit better. It was fairly cool out yesterday (40) so i wasnt sure if this might have had something to do with it? Anyone have any info they can share? Thanks Lee

Re: 4831SC

Skeetlee I'm using it in my 260AI. Here's some crono readings I got last week. I'm running a little more than you should use in a 260 Rem so I'll just post the velocities.

Group one

2818
2818
Error
2824
2836

Avg. 2824

Group two

2830
2824
2830
2818
2818

Avg. 2824

I do get better accuracy with Varget but it's much slower. Donald

I have had good luck with H4831SC in a .270 Winchester. You may want to try it in the .25-06. It is a lot bigger then the .260R.

Good luck

Jerry,

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

Re: 4831SC

Here's a good read. Someone here on the hide gave me the link when I was starting on my 260AI. This guy seems to do really well with H4831.

4831 produces allot more velocity for me than Varget or 4350. When I started it did not produce the best groups with L 123's but it has been a great match with L 139's and SMK 142's. H4350 will give me just as good a group as 4831SC but I can get more speed with the 4831SC so that's my go to powder now. Donald
