I just got a Smith and Wesson M&P 15X, its chambered for 5.56, I know it can handle .223 without any damage issues, but does anyone know if the accuracy will be effected shooting the lower pressure cartridge? Thoughts or experience?
Here's the bottom line on this and it's, for the most part, moot. M193 and M855 have higher velocity than commercial .223 and therefore will likely travel to a greater distance nose-on. Still, in the big picture, probably meaningless.
