50 cal beowulf

Re: 50 cal beowulf

Not that I'm on the band wagon, but there are a few pro's over at least a scattergun

+ Accuracy
+ Platform interchangablity
+ capacity
+ Ease of reloading
+ Higher weight projectile ( when compared to 7.62)

Just saying.........

Re: 50 cal beowulf

The 458 SOCOM, 450 Bushmaster are better options. The 50 Beowulf has nice heavy bullets, but the weight is available in 45 caliber rounds and the larger bolt face is less prone to breaking compared to the one on the 50 Beo. Component costs are another major consideration since 50 cal jacketed bullets are not exactly cheap, and there's LOTS of 458 cal bullets on the market from 250gr Barnes to 500+ grains in several flavors.

If you want a heavy bullet, upper teens velocity with the easy ability to shoot super heavy bullets subsonic, you want to look at 2 mainstream calibers: 458 SOCOM and 450 Bushy.
