I've got a used 5r barrel, want to rechamber to 300 WM then put on my 700 Mag LA action. Also have a HS stock for it. Hoping it will handle 1500 yds. with 208 Amax. What do ya think??

That seems like a cool idea. I would try the 190 SMK too. I think it has the nuts to get to 1500, and might like the slower twist better than the 208.
