Got done working today and started fiddling around in the shop. Dug out my 18" no name AR-15 6-223 barrel. found an upper w/ bcg and a plumber special free float hand guard. Tossed the SS 3x9 on top and a no name lower under it and off I went. Figured I'd field zero it and see if any chucks were out.
Got to the farm, lotsa chucks and no zero on the scope!
Damn it! Got a quick zero with 1.5 mils up and 1.5 mils left, now hope the chucks show themselves. They did, from 165-245 yards I shot 6 then one at 40 yards I had to support side the 7th of the evening. Brings my total to 58 for the year.
80 grain PMC soft point, 25.5 Benchmark, CCI 41's.

Nice. 6 X 223 and 6 TCU are quickly surpassing my 223 ack as favorite . The TCU in a bolt gun with heavy bullets is amazing.

If I remember right, Jim's 6/223 is simply a 6mm bullet stuffed into a 223 case.

I had a bolt rifle in one for a while, it was fun, shot the light 75gr varmint bullets well and was certainly easy on the tube.
