Range Report 6.5 CM with heavy bullets

I’ve been shooting Hornady ELD-m 147’s out of my Sako trg and been getting velocities around 2760 fps out of a 26” barrel 8” twist. I think I can probably push it to around 2800 but haven’t really tried. (42.4 gr of h4350 out of Lapua brass)

Either way, I purchased some of the new 153 A-tips and have also read about 156 Berger’s in addition to other 150+ gr bullets. What velocity should I expect out of these heavier bullets? Are they too heavy for a 6.5 cm?

The heaviest I have shot and chronographed in 65 CM has been the 150smk.
Was a fairly mild load just doing a quick seating depth test with 41.2 gr of H4350, new Lapua brass from a 23" Bartlien barrel. Average was 2680 fps.
I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up very close to the same velocity you are getting with the 147.
