Re: 6.5 Creedmoor ammo question
I'm using the AMAX 140 grain in my 24" DPMS 6.5 CM. Reasons for the choice was twofold. First on paper it has slightly better downrange energy, a little longer supersonic range, and a little less wind deflection though not as flat of trajectory (at least to 1000 yards) as the 120s.
The second and more important reason is that right after I bought the rifle I found a case of 140 Hornady ammo at a gunshow a little cheaper than the factory list price and nothing else anywhere in stock, not even mail order. I'm satisfied with the 140's performance, though I haven't shot anything else to compare it to.
