So I am working on a 6.5 creedmoor build and had read some places that it tends to burn barrels pretty quickly but I was curious if anyone had input on that as most of the places that mentioned that seem to be very against the round in general so I am guessing their opinion may have been biased the reason behind my questioning is as I understand it barrel life is based upon two things round velocity and chamber pressure. From what I have seen the 6.5 runs only around 100-200 fps faster then a .308 and at chamber pressures 10,000psi~ lower then a .308. That being said I think you should expect to see barrel life comparable to a .308 if anyone has any insight on this please don't hesitate to speak up I am by no means an expert.
