Yesterday was the 1st outing with my new R700 rebarreled in 6.5 Creedmoor. Now I'm trying to sort though and select the correct bushings. I have a set of Redding Neck resizing dies ordered that will be here Friday. Now that I have fired brass, I need to get the correct bushing. My question is how much neck tension to use? My rifle is magazine feed, so I need enough tension to prevent bullet movement.
Redding has changed the method of selecting the bushing. Instead of using a once fired case and subtracting to get the correct neck tension. The tech at Reddiing advised me to base it off the neck size of a new case only.
Instead of using the included inside sizer button, is it worth going to the floating carbide button? If I remember correctly, I came across an article on use of the floating button, it prevented the necks from twisting or something to that effect. But I've searched and can't find it.
