Hey all, was hoping you fine folks could help me take a look at some range data. To this point I've loaded a shot a whole bunch of rounds of different bullet/powder combos, and want to start fine-tuning what I have. For whatever reason, the next steps of load development eludes me, even after watching numerous videos and reading as much as I can on it. I've put too much emphasis on group size, but I know that velocity matters more, and groups can be adjusted based on seating depth. I'm a hands-on learner, and think that it'll click once I get some feedback on rounds that I've actually loaded and put downrange, as opposed to looking at numbers and charts of other people's data.

Below is the data for one of the reloads, based on your thoughts I'll extrapolate that to my other loads. Any guidance would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

OK, so, I've been doing a 147 ELD-M and 142 SMK on top of 41.5gr H4350 in Hornady brass out of my Tikka T3x Tac A1 24" for many years.

That 41.5gr of H4350 is a very well known powder charge for 6.5 creed.

For statistics purposes, 3 shots isn't enough information to make a permanent decision. I do a 10 shot string to confirm velocity data, then another 10 shot string for a group. A proper, statistically-ish valid sample size would be 33 rounds so you could get 1⁰, 2⁰, and 3⁰ degree standard deviations, etc.

Top velocity is not the goal. Safety First. A couple clicks up on your scope is easy to do. I tune my loads by doing a load ladder like you for velocity statistics. Then, for group size, I tune the seating depth. You'd be shocked how a change in seating depth will shrink/open groups.
