6.5x47 barrel length vs velocitys

good morning everyone, i am putting together a 6.5x47 and would like to know some of your experiences with 130-140gr in 20" to 26" barrels. i would prefer the shortest possible, but don't want to give up huge velocities if i don't have to. thanks a bunch

Go check out some of the guns of the week over @ 6mmbr.com. There are several 6.5x47's to read about. Zak Smith has a really good article about his AI 6.5x47. I get around 2940 with the 130's and 2850 with the 140's. I did try RE17 with the 140's-I got them to 2900, but accuracy was not great. I have a 26" Broughton.
