I'm building a 6.8X43 (sorta aka 6.8 SPC/SPCII) on a Seekins upper/lower and an ARP barrel. Looking at bolt/BCG options, seems like I can go with something like the pricey (but nice) Wilson Combat BCG that comes with a 6.8 SPC bolt (Bolt Carrier Assembly | 6.8 SPC | NP3 Plated-Wilson Combat). Or maybe go with a BC like the JP low mass (AR15 LOW-MASS BOLT CARRIERS | Brownells P ENTERPRISES) and add a bolt...if and when I can find one available. I'd certainly like to go with the ARP bolt. But tell me what other options I should consider. I want this rifle to be light and accurate but no need to waste money where it's not needed.

I've been pretty happy running the JP low mass BC in .308 except for not being able to keep the dust cover closed when it's in battery. In fact, is that the case with the AR15 version too? Not a big deal, but sorta untidy. Thanks for any suggestions.

ARP could have some 6.8 bolts in this week or the next, best to send him a email or call. LWRC and PRI would be my next bolt choices.

As for carriers, unless you are going to use it for 3 gun type shooting along with their LM buffer, the JP LM carrier while very nice will be overkill. Same for the Wilson. Both make great products though. I'd go for a standard FA mil-spec carrier, nickle boron coated or phosphate black.

If I were using an ARP barrel, I would use an ARP bolt with it. Their bolt seems to be an improved and very good design. I don't have a 6.8 but do have one of their 5.56 uppers, along with a barrel and BCG that will shortly be assembled into another upper.
