Wanted to get some help from you guys. Shot these last night, started out wanting to find max for my setup (that's why I jammed .010). After shooting the first 3 I changed a few things up. I only have tonight to load ammo, I'm leaving tomorrow for our property that has 300 yard range and would like to try and get as much info as I can to narrow down a good load. Should I shoot a couple of ladder tests? If so what powder range should I start and end at? Should I use the chronograph (magnaspeed)? By the way I have not found pressure signs yet. Thanks. These were shot at 100 Yards. I have a brother in law competition every Thanksgiving at 500 yards for smallest 5 shot group. I know a lot of you don't do that but a plastic crown is at stake and I hate loosing it to them!

First, how many rounds total down the barrel?
Why are you jamming the bullets?
Your kind of all over the place.
You should have at least 80+ rounds down the barrel or it will keep speeding up
and you won't find a good node.
Only change one thing at a time.
Start at .020 off and do the ladder test at .020 off the whole time.
Start at 40.0 and go up to 41.5 ( since you've been their ) in .2 powder increments
You should see a"flat spot" in the fps.
Or load 3 each of the powder weights, and see how they group. (don't attach the Magnetospeed)
40.0, 40.2, 40.4, 40.6 etc. to 41.5

Last night made a total of 85 rounds. I only jammed because I was trying to find max(hard bolt lift etc.) to see how high I could go, then I would know max charge. I never thought it would shoot like that with them jammed, I prefer to not jam because I do some hunting with this setup also. The top left was my max charge target, I just stopped at 41.5. I'm sure I could go higher, just didn't want to push my luck.

I had better luck jumping mine .045 with 42.3gn of H4350 in 26" Benchmark barrel. Hornady 6CM brass, CCI no. 200. Only pushing about 3115 but I think I'm going to drop down to something slower after this next match. @Painterbolt what kind of velocity are you seeing with that charge?

running same load, hornady brass, same bullet as you just shot some today and 41.2gr of RL16 running 3170-3180 fps. .020 jump. once i got above about 200 rds speed went from 3100 to 3170.

That's a hell of a jump in speed. 3100 at 41.2 and Hornady brass is fast also.
I would check for a carbon ring. Doesn't matter if you clean your barrel,
make sure you check for this with a borescope.
RL16 does like to make carbon rings after 200 rounds if your not looking for it.
Just saying.

I’m just starting down this road. I’m starting at 39 and moving .2 up to 41 with reloader 16. Peterson brass and cci br primers. Loaded .025 off the lands. At some point, I will get to shoot again and run my ocw test. Shooting a GAP PPR with chode brake.
