Did the same when I was doing IT. People seem to think that having 10 anti-virus programs is a good idea. Until they start trying to wipe each other out because they look like viruses to one another.

So true. Sometimes I hate IT. Most of the time the issue is a direct result of the guy "downloading music." I guess that is what they are calling looking at porn these days.

I roll my eyes so often working on a "loved-ones" computer it looks like I have Tourettes. That entire article was dead-on.

Professionally I do the same.
But when someone wants a virus removed, it's a quick $100! Usually the fastest money I ever earn - 20 minutes, that's $300 an hour...and they are happy to pay!
