Well I was finally able to get to a match with my 20" JP CTR-02 build and shoot. This is only the third time I have shot this rifle.

Being the kinda guy that likes abuse...this was a 600 yard bench rest match...and...I was shooting in the open/unlimited class!

There was a mild left to right breeze...but boy...shooting this far with little .22 bullets is different then shooting a high BC round.
Just about the time I would get dialed in for the wind during the sight in period...when it came time to shoot for score...there either was no wind or more wind. Such is the game.

Anyways...I shot in the first relay and then figured there was no need to hang out for the match results.
So I packed in up and headed home.

Few days latter I find out I actually placed in the match! And my best group was sub 4 1/2".

I know...nothing to right home about...but I was pretty stoked. This was the first time I had shot a AR or .223 at that distance.

Here is the official results...last match at the bottom of the page: http://www.tehamashooters.com/PDF/MatchResults3_10.pdf

For those who care:

77gr SMK's at mag length
24.3 gr of RL-15

Take care,Stan
