I get this when browsing from my phone a lot too. Sometimes rotating my phone 90 degrees fixes it, sometimes not. You can tap on the picture and then several buttons appear in the upper right corner. The second button opens the picture itself and it’s always full for me.

No problem. I always click on, I think, the slanted arrow icon and it will open up the full picture into another window.
