FYI
This is the email I just sent out to all my contacts excluding the info above.

After a tough year of medical, etc, issues, this will be the last year for the Utah State Sniper Shoot. There should be something to replace it I hear. I'm glad there are some other practical rifle matches in Utah now days.

After being Match Director for about 50 practical rifle-pistol competitions at the North Springs Range in the last 7 years, so many thousands of volunteer hours working on the range & the shooting sports in general, training of hundreds of students in rifle & pistol safe shooting skills, SORRY but, I just can't give everything up yet.

There is more info on my www.utahshootouts website.

There is information about Practice (or regular) Matches in the future and Law Enforcement or Military only events. These things I still want to do. Maybe me do some shootin too.

Hope to see you on the range this September 13th.

Thanks,
Clint

P.S.
PLEASE contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns about Utah Shootouts or myself in the shooting sports. I always gladly make a great effort to get to the truth about problems. Thank you so much for your cooperation and support.

*Here's the hotel deals for the USSS 2014: Both these hotels have been good to us through the years. We've stayed at both of them. Very nice places.

Price River Inn (last year it was the National 9 Inn) $49.95 + tax. 435 637 7000. That's about $20 off I think. You have to tell them you are with the Utah State Sniper Shoot. They are just off the first (west) exit (I think it's exit 240) as you get into Price from SLC and then turn left.

I got you message today about the event on September 13th. I do have rooms set aside for your shooters at $69 for standard double queen rooms for one night*at the Ramada-Price on 838 Westwood Blvd. Price UT 84501 Exit 240. The participants can call the front desk and ask for the Sniper Shoot block at 435-637-8880.
Thanks so much!
Kim

I think the Ramada will hold the rooms they have set aside till about one week before the match. After that you take your chances.

We have enough RSO's and Asst RSO's for the number of shooters right now. These people need to remember I will run them through the COF Friday afternoon and 7:00 am Saturday.

We'll need some more help as we get more shooters paying.

Shooters need to sign in Friday Afternoon or 7:00 am Saturday. Shooter meeting 8:00 am. Shooting starts at 9:00.

Shooters pay $75 during Aug. $100 in Sept. RSO's shoot for free. Asst RSO need to pay $25.

Everyone possible pay or make arrangements to pay by the end of the month, I need to order shirts then. I am trying to get the county to throw in some hats. All extra shirts and hats will go on the prize table.

Any questions please ask.

If there is anyone else that can help with Assistant Safety Officer duty, we may need some more help. SO's and Asst. SO's will need to shoot Friday afternoon and 7:00 am Saturday. Yes, they shoot the 1000 yard stage early Saturday (rain or shine). If that turns out to be an advantage, that is their reward for helping make things happen.

One more time: Shooters should bring 75 rounds each gun. Long distance 100 to 1000 yards. Semi auto 25 yards with dot or low power scopes and iron sights being good.

Eye protection mandatory while on the pistol and semi auto stages.

Semi auto can be shot at any precision stage. Only one rifle per stage. Adjust your round count if you do this.

I've had a couple people ask if they have to shoot all the stages. Answer: No. Cost is the same though.

See you in a couple weeks.

Thanks,
Clint
