There are a few with that name, you may have been looking at the old 6x47 remington.
Its a 222 rem mag necked up to 6mm.

The 6 x 47mm is a 222 Magnum necked up to 6mm. This wildcat originated as
and remains solely a bench rest cartridge. Remington has chambered rifl es for
this cartridge, but no factory ammunition has been available.
In bench rest circles, 6mm caliber has become increasingly popular. It provides
improved wind resistance over the 22s and less recoil than the 308s. The 6
x 47mm has been popular in the 6mm fi eld and has won many competitions.
While the 6 x 47mm has the attributes of a fi ne varmint cartridge, it has lacked
support from the fi rearms industry to achieve wide use in hunting.
The powders that performed best in our test fi rearm were VIHT N-130, IMR 4198,
and WIN 748. WIN 748 has become popular with bench rest shooters because
of its uniformity from one lot to the next. Best accuracy was obtained using
the Hornady 75 grain Hollow Point and WIN 748. Warning: The loading data
presented here was maximum for our rifl e and components. Maximum loads
should be approached by small increments because of the high loading density
of this small cartridge. During our testing, primers other than Remington 7½s
substituted at various intervals, resulting in many pierced primers before
maximum loads were obtained. Always start low and work up to maximums
when changing any components. This standard rule should be part of every
reloader’s “pre-fl ight checklist.”
