700 firing pin

Re: 700 firing pin

Hook the cocking piece under your bootlace. With the bolt fact towards you pull up on the bolt body. Stick a coin in the slot on the Firing pin head. Release the pressure and unscrew the firing pin assembly from the bolt body. Reassemble in reverse.

If you are actually trying to separate the firing pin from the assembly then you are going to need a tool like the one Sinclair sells. Otherwise you are risking a firing pin through the eye.

Re: 700 firing pin

I usually clean it after every firing. Whether that is the proper way or not I have no idea. I'm used to M16/M4's and M9's which need CONSTANT cleaning, so I'm assuming I should do that with my own civilian weapons as well.
