Just wanted to do a quick impromptu check, do 77gr SMK's stabilize in your 1/9" twist barrel? So far, they've done fine in both my Savage 1/9" barrels (10FP and 12LRPV) and my Lothar Walther AR barrel, all though the farthest distance I have shot so far is 100 yards...

In the one Savage 1/9 I have, yes, and I even get 80SMKs to stablize and shoot just fine in it. You just never know with some bbls, they may, they may not. Best thing to do is just try them and find out.

I have used the 75 grain hornady bthp with great luck in my 1in9 so I'm going to work up a couple loads on the 77 pretty soon. Any suggestions I have both tac and h335. It's for an ar15 16" 5.56 chamber

about a month ago I got 77gn NCC's to shoot a .450 5 shot group at 100.but if you take away the cold bore shot it was a .111 4 shot group.I was loading them with 25.0gn of IMR 4007,450 primers,in a Lapua case.and they are running 2672fps.

Im getting 2650 fps via 24.5 gr W748. It's a warm load, but not enough to flatten primers.

Tac and H335 are both faster than W748, so you'll probably end up around 23-23.5 gr.

308Sako here on the hide shoots an accurized Colt 1/9 twist with 77 SMKs to phenominal accuracy. Like well less than 1/2 MOA in the range sessions I've seen with his rifle.

Sadly, that was the old rifle... the new one should have been born a shotgun.

Best 300 yard group this AM, was 22.4 VV 135, 77 SMK @2.257" - CCi 400 FC GM 2x brass. Velocity 2749 (15 ft from muzzle) and SD 22! Ten shot group was .6 MOA or 2 1/2 inches approxiamtely including coldbore.

.6 MOA is a "shotgun"??? You suck!
