I'm having Dtec build me a 7mm WSSM upper for one of my lonely AR15 lowers. From what I can find on the parent 25wssm case I have about .317" before I get past the throat of the case. The Berger 140gr VLD I want to use is 1.018" OAL. At a max COAL of 2.260" (feeding through an AR magazine) that appears to leave about .100 worth of boat tail hanging into the case. Does anybody here have experience reloading the 25wssm or any of the wildcats? It appears that the 140gr VLD will work fine in this round without compromising case capacity. Am I on the right track here? I do reload, but this is my first wildcat so I don't have a manual to tell me where to be on this one... any help would be appreciated.

Re: 7mm WSSM build

i have a dtech upper in 25wssm. it has ran everything ive fed it. have worked up loads for 87,s and 100,s current hunting load is with 100 tsx and imr 4350. its compressed. a 7wssm should be a hammer.let me know what measurements you need.
have you asked mike at dtech? from what ive read he is very sharp.
