I finally found time to get out and test some 8208XBR loads in my Larue big block.
I loaded 5 rounds each of 42, 42.5, 43, 43.5, 44, 44.2, 44.4, 44.6 grains under a Hornady 150 gr. Interlock seated to cannelure.
I shot them at 100 yards with my Larue 7.62x51 with 18" barrel and SiCo Omega suppressor. Scope was a 3.5x ACOG TA11.
I was actually pleased with groups I got considering an ACOG is not the most precise optic for these old eyes at 100 yards.
All brass looked fine but I did start to see a little evidence of ejector swipes beginning at 44.2gr. 44.4 and 44.6 had more pronounced ejector swipes so I will probably stay away from those two loadings.

Based on my 18" barrel and the data/targets below, what load would you recommend I spend a little more time on? I am not sure how reasonably fast I should expect to push a 150 grain bullet in an 18" AR. I'm thinking 2650 - 2700 FPS? The last group is my go-to load for my bolt gun with a 178 AMAX and 44gr. of Varget. It apparently shoots well in this rifle as well.
