IMR 4064 for the lighter bullets 170gr or less and IMR 4350 for 180gr and heavier were my go to powders for the 8x57. E.T.A.: www.hodgdon.com has data for 8x57 loads 180gr and heavier using staball 6.5. Last edited: Jan 24, 2022

I would go with a slower bulkier powder. If you can get a good case fill with Staball, it might work fine.

Target - Sierra 200 gr Match King with 39gr of IMR 4895. Both are safe loads and below max. I don't know if these bullets are still available. Its been a while. Reactions: Huckleberry75
