The "egg shape" is a well documented issue with these scopes.

It may be annoying, but will not affect use.

I have an ffp mil/mil on my 5r haven't shot with it yet but looks to be an awesome scope for the price. Now I've just gotta retrain mysel to use mils rather then moa lol

I haven't shot mine much yet, and have not noticed the egg shape. I bet I do now! So far I've been happy with it though. It seems like a solid scope.
