90's era scopes?

The FBI used various Leupold scopes that I would describe as their “early tactical scopes”, such as the matte black Vari-X version in 3.5-10x with tall target turrets. That would be vintage correct for 1990s. The optics small number of FBI HRT rifles are outlined in the above post.

Leupold won its first military contract around 1988, with the M3A Ultra 10x scope with M3 turrets. They were used on all M24s during the 1990s. Various other Ultra and early Mk 4 scopes were used by SOCOM as well, typically fixed 10x and some fixed 16x on 50 BMG caliber weapons.
