Rifle Scopes A couple questions about the Razor Gen 2: Hows the focus at 25yds if it parallaxes down to 32 and how is the QC?

I'll be using it at 25yds for a fair bit so I'm wondering if itll be too blurry because the 4.5-27 only goes down to 32.

Secondly, hows the quality control on razor gen 2s? I've seen more than a couple threads on issues with the razor gen 2s and it's sort of troubling given how its vortex's top of the line. I'm not going to name names, but one of the vendors on here also told me they dont carry vortexes due to repeated QC issues. you never hear about NFs having issues and they're also made by LOW.

Why are you using a scope at 25 yards?

22lr so most in door ranges work for me. also rifle ranges are rather far from me and I cant always drive an hour each way.

Just because it is clear at 25 does not stop the reticle from moving with imperfect head position. All you have to do to see clear is reduce the magnification at minimum parallax. Head novement with improper head position still causes a parallax shift of the reticle to target.

My guess is that it would clear right up if you drop mag level to deepen DoF. But yeah if you’re at 27x at 25 yards and dialed to 32 yards, it may not work great.

Dial your power down if you need to get a little clearer at closer ranges. Have done this for years in matches for close shots. Had to shoot at 11 feet at a match one year and just dialed power down and that was with a scope that went down to 10 yards for parallax.

QC is fine on the Razor IIs. Very low issue rate. And yes every scope brand has had issues including NF. Stick around for a while and you will see this.

Also I can guess who the vendor was and that is not the reason they don't carry Vortex. All i will say about that so don't ask.
