Anyone looking for another A&D FX lab scale that has been holding off because of cost or anyone that wants a second one...

Crazy deal on New Open Box A&D FX300iN model on ebay.

For those that don't know, this is the more expensive bigger brother to the Fx120i. Only difference is instead of a max 120g capacity it has a larger max 300g capacity.

They are listed on ebay for $379.99 but I used the "Make an Offer" button and offered $300 and it was accepted + $21.81 shipping

The FX120i is $580 at CE so this is a steal!

I heard of some people buying these and reports said they were brand new open box so I took the chance and I'm extremely happy.

Came in the factory A&D box with all the paperwork and the thing looks brand new.

Put my 50g certified check weight on it and it's dead on. It does NOT come with wind screen. Doesn't bother me because I bought this to use with the new IP setup when it arrives. I'll keep my current FX120i / Gen3 AutoThrow and IP Trickler setup together

From what I'm hearing, these are from a large lot purchased from a weed dispensery company that went under and were never used or barely used. Mine doesn't have a mark on it brand new.

It does come in NTEP mode to comply with state weighing regulations but you just go into thr settings and change it back to A&D standard mode. Took 10seconds.

    Yeah I mean't that as a compliment...;)

You apparently researched and verified before posting...

I got 2 at $275ea, but several people I know had offers under 300 rejected after that. He also massively reduced the amount available shown (was showing 220 when I ordered), so I think the cat is out of the bag. Just checked and it's showing out of stock now with 27 sold.

    Great deal though!

They’re baaaaack. Better hurry. 4 left. They accepted my offer at 325 but not at 300.

Same scale guys? Looks like another 8. I don’t need one.but figured some here might.

Good price, yes. But not what they were going for the past few months..
Yea they definitely caught on lol. I’m sure they were like “why these scales selling so damn fast?”

    Someone snitched on us lol.

I figured I need one anyway for the IP system next year and it’s cheaper then anywhere else I can get one.

Offer for a used one accepted at $201. I’ll see how it goes. I can send it out for calibration through work or compare it to something in our lab that is calibrated and much more precise. They do have 30 day returns

So I purchased one of the used scales missing the power supply, breeze guard, and pan.

I thought the pan was an accessory but A&D told me it’s a stainless cover that goes over the pan support and I needed it to use the scale.

Can anyone with one of these confirm if you need the pan or can weigh on the pan support directly?

Starting to find this was not a great deal. The A&D power supply and pan work out to about $110 delivered and that does not even get in to the breeze cover if I need it. I can just buy a 12v power supply and check the polarity and mess with the connector size but I usually like OEM stuff.

I really just want to be able to test this when I get it to make sure I don’t need to use my 30 day return window. Looks like this is closer to $400 all in to buy the missing stuff. The open box at $325 was way better… ugh

Are you going to be buying a new IP system? If so you won’t need any of that except the power supply

Just received one as well, thanks for the tip.
Mine is also in new unused condition and original packaging, just like you showed in your post.
Shipped incl. tax it came out to $371. I figured it’s at least a $200 saving.

I have been searching Ebay daily since this thread started and picked up one complete for $334 after shipping and tax just now. They show up fairly often at good prices complete and in like new condition.

Mine came in yesterday. I've searched through the menu and cannot find grains. All the other units are there but grains are missing. A quick google search reveals that some NTEP (the N in 300iN) don't have grains enabled. I've sent A&D an email in hopes there's a way to enable it.

Its there. Mine is a 300in and came with no grains enabled either. No its not enabled on these scales when you receive it. You need to change all the settings and if you're looking for directions on how to set it up for reloading here's a good quick overview from the new Ingenuity Precision Electronics manual for A&D scale setup...

I've done all that, GN never appears in the unit menu. You can find g, oz, lb, ozt, and all the others but GN is missing.

EDIT... Just got off the phone with A&D. The gentleman I spoke with told me that by law grains have been disabled (something to do with being legal for trade) and that I will need to reprogram the scale. I was at work while I was on the phone with him but, I'll be calling back tomorrow morning to go through the process of reprogramming the scale.

Correct, you need to remove it from that NTEP mode then follow the instructions I sent you... Let me see if I can dig up the directions for you on removing from that mode..

its actually right in the A&D user manual... Here a link to the full A&D FX series manual and here's a screenshot from the manual on how to change modes....

Notice in the below screenshot for changing modes... You need to remove the back metal chrome cover and hold that S201 switch down exactly how the directions below say to do.. This is why they change the screws on this cover with holes and put a lock through it when its being used for legal trade, so the weight cant be altered.......

That link says $582.74. How do you make an offer for $325? I have not used eBay to make lower offers

Thanks! I knew the scale had to be capable of it but, haven't quite had the time to dig through the manual.

This print was included in my package. Did it last night and got the unit changed to GN. There’s another setting for having the units stay at GN when switching the unit on and off. Also in the manual.

Edit, this step is actually shown on padom’s page in post above (page 17)
