A little confused: McCree Precision Chassis

I have a Remington 700 that I was intending to put in an AICS, but have also been toying around with the idea of the McCree. I've done a lot of searching on here and on the Internet and I am a little confused.

There are certain websites selling the chassis and they have a lot of options/accessories that the actual McCrees website doesn't have or currently offer. Im trying to determine if these options are just "included" in the current gen or if they were done away with. Case in point is the stock with the "hand grip" some websites show this feature as an option ($60 or so), but the McCrees website doesn't even mention it. It looks like it comes standard now.

The same can be said for the "Palma" forend.

I would assume that the McCrees website is the most accurate and up to date source for info unless it hasn't been updated in a long time.

I have also noted that the sides on the chassis look different from one picture to the next. Does anyone know the story behind this? Does each "generation" have different designs on the sides or something?

I figured there were some people on these boards that were really familiar with the McCree chassis. I'm just trying to get my understanding in order before I call them and waste their time.

Any help would be appreciated. Pics of the current gen (if you recently purchased one) would be very helpful.

My guess is that the forend has been changed to make it easer and faster to machine, takes more time to drill and debur a hole. I do like the new ones better, have 2 folders, SA and LA. Just my .02

Don't hesitate to call them and ask questions.
They have always been busy, but are always willing to help and answer questions, they're good people.
They do have some stuff/parts that they don't show on their web site.
Order direct from Mcrees and only use the other dealers for better pics of the different parts accessories(US Tactical is a good one).

That's EXACTLY what I needed.
I got so confused looking at the other photos on the internet. Different logos, different fore ends, different stocks....I assumed they must have been previous generations.

Scotts pictures are a little blurry, but up to date. Great product, you wont regret buying one! My Savage never fed good from the blind mag, but thats all changed now.

My Rem 700 had feeding problems as well, I think the hogue stock was cut incorrectly. The McRee Chassis feeds flawlessly using AICS magazines.

Not meaning to hijack a thread (old thread) but..... I had a barreled action made for my son. LA Rem 700 Action Chambered in 308 / Rock Creek 5R barrel. He likes the McCree Chassis. I have read where a 308 will feed from the LA AICS magazines with maybe some modification. My question is, has anyone seen or do you know of this chassis (in a long action 700 model) being modified with a spacer or something to except 308 magazines?
