A question on the Remington - Eley ammo.

Never seen those 2 in a Remington box...

But... if it says Remington, I think it is Ely components/recipies loaded on Remington equipment. From the few boxes I've tried in a few different rifles it isn't worth it.

The Remington Match EPS ammo that I have says "Manufactured by ELEY England" on the label. The bottom of the box has "Manufactured by Eley Limited Minworth, B76 1BA, England" and "www.eley.co.uk" molded into it. Given the lot to lot variations, the Remington/Eley branded stuff shoots about the same as the straight Eley branded stuff out of my Anschutz 1913.

Badshot308,
Thanks! Both my "Match EPS" and "Target Rifle" boxes have the same wording. The "Match EPS" also lists the velocity (1060) on the end tab. The "Target Rifle" does not.

You all know how the internet is full of good information covered by tons of BS? Well this could be one of those cases. I was told by a guy in a bar that Remington/Eley match green stripe ammo was being loaded by Aquilla in Mexico using Eley process equipment and Eley primer technology. I have no data to support that BS claim and other sources including Steve Boelter reported that it is all made by Eley for Remington and distributed by Remington under a JV agreement. Whether that production is really in England or some other location is a mystery to me. How does it shoot? If it looks like Eley match (yes) and shoots like Eley match, and quacks like a duck, well that might be the answer.
