Have not seen to much on these so I thought I would post my experience with it today.
I bought the 260 AAC barrel go and no go guages and a wheeler action wrench from midway all for $297 shipped. I made my own barrel vise today. The factory barrel was not to hard to remove. After cleaning the action threads I threaded on the 260 barrel as instructed by hand and checked head space with both guages. To my amazement the chamber passed go and no go, so I added some antiseeze and torqued on the barrel. I tested the chamber again and it again passed go and no go test. This barrel is very wide at the chamber, much wider than remington varmint so I am going to have to widen the barrel channel. After I get the rifle put back together and tested I will post groups. This looks like a cheap way to try the .260, but we will see how it shoots.
