I'm looking at getting a new suppressor and is there any pros and cons of these 2? Ill be using it on a rem 700 in 308 and later a 6.5 creedmoor. Can you use these cans on a AR also? If anyone has these and has any input it will help. Thanks

Re: AAC 300TM vs Cyclone

They are both thread on cans which I think is better then a QD model and you probably wont be able to use them on an AR-15 but you could use them on an AR-10 because the cans are both threaded 5/8x24, not unless you get an adapter for your ar-15. If I were you, I would get a dedicated thread on can for your 308 and a seprate qd or thread on can for your ar. If you get a QD mount can then there is the possibilty to use the can on both platforms.

I dont think there are many cons to geting any of the two. I have had some AAC cans and they are built very well. Only con is that they are thread ons which may make them less versatile for usage on two different platform with two different thread dimensions.

What is your purpose for the cans other than having a blast with them?Precision shooting, hunting?

Re: AAC 300TM vs Cyclone

the TM is a thread mount 300sd. all titanium. same rules apply to this as a thunderbeast, SAS or any other ti can. made to be a precision can. ive held one at their facility in lawrenceville and it was fantastic. the cyclone is a mix of stainless and inconel. much better at handling heat but at the expense of extra weight.

Re: AAC 300TM vs Cyclone

I already have a 762SD and I dont like the latch on it. its so worn down I can turn the suppressor on and off without pressing it. It will be for precision shooting and hunting if the bill will pass. I was going to get the cyclone at first but I got the 762SD so it would not come loose but I was wrong. I should have got the cyclone!!!!!

Re: AAC 300TM vs Cyclone

By any chance when you put your SD on do you let it click on? People who I see do that all the time, wear down the teeth on the mount. I usually hold the latch all the way down and put the suppressor on without clicking and turn it back 1 click to lock the suppressor on the ratchet style mount.

Yeah I let it do that noone told me not too. I dont think it's right that they made it like that. I'm thinking of going with a different company all together. I have been trying to call them for 2 or 3 months and they wont answer the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
