I shoot a 30-P1 Thunderbeast on my precision rifles and have nothing but good things to say about it. I have been looking at the SAS Arbiter TI and wouldn't mind giving it a try. I do have a AAC but it is a M4/2000 that I use on AR's. I tried it on my precision 223 rifle but ended up giving up on that and sent the rifle back to have it threaded for 5/8 x 24 to use my Thunderbeast on that rifle. Problem solved.

I put up a similar thread a while back between the SAS Arbiter and the TBAC 30P-1. From what I gathered both are at the top of their game. I went with the TBAC 30P-1 but I definitely liked the look of the SAS Arbiter with the TOMB for a detach/brake. I have never used an AAC can but I have not seen any information to indicate that they are of the same quality.

If you are looking for accuracy and minimal POI shift, SAS and TBAC are amoung the best.

definitely agree this is true with my TBAC cans, although I cannot speak for SAS.

If you guys would have seen the groups Lowlight posted on facebook with the SAS can it would make you guys a fan or hater, depending on if you are loyal to another brand!!!! He also reported ZERO POI shift.

These are with MY rifles and tuned handloads so I am not saying that my skills are superior, just that the SAS Arbiter is the real deal. The last time a bunch of us shot together we took a SAS Arbiter that was beat to shit from Crane Naval Base testing and shot it on 4 different rifles and POI was the same on all rifles at 600, shooting suppressed or un suppressed. You guys can get into the fancy websites and marketing but I will keep my SAS coolaid!! As time goes on and more and more SAS cans hit the market there will be no doubt when shooting next to ANY can on the market where SAS stands.......

BTW the three rifles on the far right are mine, two of which was built by SAS. The FIRST 5 shot group in the 300WM in the Mcree shot a .316 with no load work, just 220 SMK over 76g of H1000. The 308 in the AICS is a teens rifle and is so accurate its boring. Just another testament to SAS and their machine work and attention to detail.

AAAWW MAN ! I cant wait! I'm getting my first. I have a SAS Arbiter at my SOT and I will be sending in my papers next week when I get off work! I'm hearing realy good things about this can. Im glade I waited 6 months to get it. It seems they are behind at the factory, or something....

My sas arbiter ti is about a month out on the f4. I have been able to play with subs with it only due to location on dealer and it is very impressive. Looking forward to doing poi and other testing soon. The qd mount does not lock so I am interested to see if it will stay put. That is my only concern at this point.

They are not behind, they are MOVING! Tim is relocating to Nevada from Indiana and has been building cans and rifles as fast as he can while trying to get things ready to move. There will be a little down time for some small dealers but Mile High should have a good suppl as they are the largest stocking dealer by far and your best "in stock" soarce.

They are not behind, they are MOVING! Tim is relocating to Nevada from Indiana and has been building cans and rifles as fast as he can while trying to get things ready to move. There will be a little down time for some small dealers but Mile High should have a good suppl as they are the largest stocking dealer by far and your best "in stock" soarce.

Not sure whom your referring to but I have 3 SAS cans waiting on my form 4s but get to shoot SAS cans all the time. My Arbiter is a QD version and my 7" Ti Reaper uses the TOMB system. A TOMB can be a brake or flash hider, which ever you choose. I will be running the TOMB brake on anything I plan on hunting with. I choose the brake over the FH because it does help reduce the sound a slight amount over the FH.
My other can is a rimfire that is direct thread.

When my Arbiter TI came in I brought my rifle with me. It's all about the smith that does the threading on the barrel. It was tight and smooth all the way down to the shoulder. I don't see it ever coming loose. I had AJ Brown build the rifle. If you ever need work, I recommend him.

I will be honest - when it comes to Thunderbeast or SAS I will go with the group buys on which ever has one. They both seem to the tops at the moment, or at least the most discussed as being the best, so I have to make my call on price. I think I will be in the market for another 30 can in the next six months so these threads are really helping me decide.

Mine goes on and off with a feathers touch. You can rotate the can into and out of "locked" position with your finger tips. It does not have a retention or locking device and so I was concerned that it could rotate under field use out of the locked position. That is my concern. May not be a valid concern, but its my concern until I see that isn't a possibility.
Mine works just like the you tube video on SASS page of the on/off.

I sent an email about a month ago to SAS asking about a timeline for a direct thread Reaper, and if I could buy directly from SAS to save a SOT transfer fee from my local Class III dealer. I get to Evansville a fair bit on business, so it'd be no big deal for me.
2.5 weeks later, I got an email apologizing for the delay saying my email went to a SPAM folder and that the direct thread Reaper would be available "late fall". Also, they said I wouldn't be able to buy a direct thread Reaper from SAS because they were moving.
The email I got back was not sent from Tim/SAS, but Mile High.

I have a AAC Cyclone for my 308win & 6.5CM, and have been very happy with it. I believe they are underrated, and very high quality with great accuracy/consistency. For the price, AACs are a great value.

As far as the TBAC, I have not got to shoot one but I have heard of an indoor video comparison of it vs the Arbiter and the SAS came out on top.Call Mile High and see if they know anything but they definitely know the DB numbers plus all the other specs.
