AB Desktop vs Kestrel only

My computer is a Mac. As such, running AB's desktop application is a bit of a pain. I'm planning to retire my iPad and replace it shortly, so I was thinking of switching over to a Windows 10 compatible tablet in part so I could run the AB software.

Do you get much benefit from having the desktop app vs only having an iOS app and Kestrel 5700 to build profiles and do the calculations?

Of course, I ultimately want the data to be present on the Kestrel for field use.

Have it on my Mac, iPhone and Kestrel. The Desktop version gets used 1 or 2 times a year for me. If you use it often, keep it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother. My 2 cents.

Does it run natively on your Mac? Or are you using parallels/VM Ware?

Curious about what’s better to run AB on. I have a Windows10 computer pretty much for streaming stuff, a iMac which I use for office/study work, and an iPhone which goes everywhere.
How well do they run AB?

If you are referring to AB Analytics, other than the WEZ tool and ability to play with possible cartridges and export to excel, the 5700 Elite is definitely the way to go for practical shooting. Fast, simple and insanely accurate.

Probably not worth the investment in a Windows tablet just to run AB Analytics.

For half the money than AB, IMHO the best desktop software is Coldbore
